Enough is Enough! Health and Safety Cuts Cost Lives
It’s that time again folks, time to book your place to join us at our annual conference, being held at the STUC in Glasgow, 10am ’til 4pm on Thursday 8 November 2018.
The agenda will once again be jam-packed with our morning spent in plenary sessions, then the afternoon hearing from voices from the shopfloor, and in workshops.
We are honoured that Claire Baker MSP has chosen our conference as the place to launch her new consultation on culpable homicide laws. She will speak alongside Patrick McGuire of Thompsons Solicitors Scotland, and our own trustee Louise Taggart on the need for this area of the law to be revised.
We will also hear from representatives of the STUC and the Fair Work Convention to take a new look at regulation and enforcement of health and safety in Scotland, and at taking forward the Fair Work Agenda.
Voices from the shopfloor will include:
- 3 and 3 Campaign – Unite
- Breathe Freely Campaign – GMB
- Action at McDonalds – Bakers’ Union
- Trade Union Friends of Bhopal
And we will have in-depth workshops covering:
- Toxics Use Reduction
- Health, Safety and FOI
- ‘Me Too’ – how to address harassment
- Breathe Freely
